WalkNTalk Women CIC Community Guidelines & Member Code of Conduct

WalkNTalk Women exists to provide a safe, welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space where women can connect through walking, conversation, friendship, and community.

By joining our Facebook group, attending our walks, events, or activities, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us maintain a positive environment for everyone.

Our Community Values

Be Kind & Respectful

Treat all members with kindness, courtesy, and respect at all times. We welcome women from all backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life.

Be Inclusive

Help everyone feel welcome, especially new members. A simple hello can make a huge difference.

Support, Don't Judge

Listen without judgement. We all have different experiences, opinions, and challenges. Differences should be respected.

Walk Together

WalkNTalk is a social community. We encourage members to chat, connect, and support one another during walks and events.

Respect Privacy

Members may share personal experiences during walks, events, or within our online community. Please respect their privacy and confidentiality.

Member Conduct

Safeguarding & Personal Boundaries

To help keep everyone safe:

  • Members must respect the personal boundaries of others at all times.

  • Unwanted, excessive, persistent, or inappropriate contact is not permitted.

  • Contacting members privately outside of WalkNTalk activities should only occur where there is clear mutual consent from both parties.

  • If a member indicates they do not wish to communicate privately, that decision must be respected immediately.

  • Any behaviour that causes another member to feel uncomfortable, pressured, harassed, intimidated, or unsafe may result in removal from the community.

  • WalkNTalk reserves the right to investigate concerns raised regarding interactions between members where safeguarding or wellbeing may be affected.

Bullying, Harassment & Discrimination

We have zero tolerance for:

  • Bullying, intimidation, harassment, or threatening behaviour.

  • Discrimination based on age, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic.

  • Personal attacks, gossip, or behaviour intended to exclude others.

Facebook Group & Online Conduct

Members must:

  • Communicate respectfully within the Facebook group and associated online spaces.

  • Avoid arguments, hostility, or inflammatory discussions.

  • Not use the group to advertise businesses, products, services, fundraising campaigns, or events without prior permission from the WalkNTalk team.

  • Not share inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content.

Attendance at Walks & Events

If you register for a walk or event and can no longer attend, please let us know where possible so that organisers can plan accordingly.

Photography & Social Media

Please be respectful when taking photographs during walks and events.

If a member does not wish to appear in photographs or videos, their wishes must be respected.

Please inform your walk leader if you do not wish to appear in any photos.

Safety & Wellbeing

  • Participants attend at their own risk.

  • Members are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate.
