Walk, Talk & Laugh
Have you ever bought a product and feel compelled to write a review because it is so good you want everyone to have one? I feel like this about discovering the group WalkNTalk. So here goes my personal review:
I joined the Facebook group in early December 2025 after watching from the sidelines for sometime. I have recently moved to Colchester, semi retired and a new grandmother and was looking to meet new, like minded women friends in the local area. I booked in on a Thursday walk at Highwood’s Country Park where I was greeted so warmly by Sarah, leading the walk. Everyone made me feel extremely welcome and I felt a sense of belonging that I hadn't felt for a very long time. I have met some extraordinary women navigating life, all with different circumstances, but all here for the same reason to be out safely in nature, chatting, walking and enjoying a sense of freedom.
What has surprised me most is how much we laugh and how important laughing is! Life can be so serious sometimes, can't it?!; walking, talking, being in nature and laughing has become such medicine for me.
I have since met Rebecca, our founder and spent time with her, hearing her story of how she set up this group in the community and hearing about her passion to continue to make it work, expand and grow, she is one passionate, inspirational woman!
Thank you for reading this blog. I really enjoyed writing it. I look forward to meeting many more of you on our walks and outings this year. I am excited to experience nature changing with the seasons and let’s hope that the recent rainy spell will indeed reward us with a beautiful Spring and Summer.
Sally 🙂
