At Home and Help, I provide reliable home help and companionship designed to support independence and bring peace of mind to both clients and their families. Whether it’s regular visits to help with everyday tasks, a friendly chat over a cup of tea, or a same-day welfare check when something doesn’t feel quite right, the focus is always on offering a calm, consistent, and trusted presence in the home. Each visit is tailored to individual needs, with clear communication and optional updates for family members, so you can feel reassured that your loved one is safe, comfortable, and supported.
Through my work running a local women’s walking and community group, I’ve spent time with many older women and have seen first-hand how loneliness and day-to-day challenges can quietly build up. Things like keeping on top of small household tasks, staying motivated, or simply having someone to talk to can become harder over time. Having a regular, friendly face visit each week can make a real difference—not just practically, but emotionally too.
For families, life is often busy, and it’s not always possible to be there as often as you would like. Knowing that someone you trust is checking in regularly, offering support, and keeping an eye on things can bring real reassurance. My aim is to provide that dependable presence—someone who takes the time to notice the small things, offer help where it’s needed, and build a genuine, supportive connection over time.
I am DBS checked, first aid trained, and fully insured, with references available on request, so you can feel confident that your loved one is in safe and capable hands.

How It Works
✔️ Free introductory meeting
We begin with a free, no-obligation meeting to discuss your needs and how I can help. This allows us to ensure the service is the right fit and agree the level of support required.
If a family member is arranging or paying for the service, they will need to be present. Written agreement will be required to confirm that the client gives permission for updates or concerns to be shared with them.
If the client is arranging the service themselves, I will ask for details of a next of kin and any important health information that may be needed in an emergency.
✔️ Booking your visits
Once agreed, a regular day and time will be booked, along with a start date. Regular slots are recommended to provide consistency, though some flexibility may be available depending on the schedule.
💷 Pricing
🏡 Home Help Visits
£30 for the first hour (per visit)
£25 per hour for any additional time during the same visit
Example:
A 2-hour visit = £55 (£30 for the first hour + £25 for the second hour)
🕒 Urgent Welfare Visit
£55 (includes up to 30 minutes, home check and report back)
Additional time charged at £25 per hour
🚗 Travel
Travel is included within the local area (CO3 postcode). Any additional travel will be discussed in advance.
💳 Payments
Payments are made in advance of your scheduled visit or time slot. This keeps everything simple and ensures your booking is secured.

✔️ Service type
This is a non-medical home help and companionship service.
✔️ Availability
All visits, including urgent welfare visits, are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
✔️ Cancellations & changes
One week’s notice is required to cancel a regular slot
Late cancellations will be charged at 50% of the weekly total to retain the time slot
Where possible, visits may be rearranged if availability allows
If we need to cancel a visit, there will be no charge.
✔️ Payments
Payment is required in advance of visits
Continued non-payment may result in services being paused
✔️ Welfare & emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, emergency services will be contacted
First aid may be provided if required
✔️ Medication
Medication reminders can be given
Medication will not be administered
✔️ Personal care
Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) is not provided
✔️ Updates & confidentiality
Updates can be shared with family members where consent has been given
All personal information is handled respectfully and confidentially
✔️ Safety
we reserve the right to refuse or end a visit if a situation is unsafe or beyond the scope of the service.
